Syracuse center Mounir Hima has reportedly entered the transfer portal, according to Joe Tipton of On3. Hima becomes the sixth SU player, and the second true center, to enter the portal. The previous five include Benny Williams (already dismissed from the team), Justin Taylor, Maliq Brown, Quadir Copeland and fellow center Peter Carey.

Hima spent two seasons with Syracuse, appearing in 40 games and starting none. The center recorded 31 points, 53 rebounds, 29 blocks and 45 fouls during his appearances.

Hima came to SU in 2022 after a freshman season at Duquesne, during which he started five games and averaged just under two points per contest.

This transfer comes more than a week after the Orange picked up Colorado center Eddie Lampkin in the portal.
